post script

ps.

if you are my sister,

or answer [willingly, or unwillingly] to the name bozieboo.

CALL ME.
much to discuss.

and also, I LOVE YOU like madness.
what a day.

woke up early to skype with christine but she was tardy as f*ck so i did my other business from bed while i patiently awaited her arrival; dealing with the possible bankrupcy of our landlord, arranging reiki for wade, and applying for a dreamy job with an international school for a kindergarten position.

ive had my eye on this school all year. first of all, it looks like a castle and its in the mountains, so thats just lovely. secondly, its got a montessori philosophy of teaching and learning and looks like a place that i would blend in perfectly with. i worked hard on my resume and wrote a charming and professional cover letter and sent it off.

skyped with christine. always funny and rejuvenating for me. perfect for before work.

after work tonight i headed straight to the park with em to do two hours of yoga by the water with mayna. so, so great. the moon was really big and bright and the water lended itself as a delightful soundtrack.

just came home and poured a class of wine and decided to check my email between reading in bed. and...

i have an interview at the castle!

so.so.excited.

i am a happy girl.

Saigon, Vietnam

photos n journals of 21 days in vietnam and cambodia:
part 1.

07/22/12 evening 1. Saigon, Vietnam
sitting at the end of our first dinner. tom is the sweetest waiter and we've all developed definite crushes throughout these five courses. vietnamese men have smiles to die for. in the end, 8 drinks and 5 dishes cost us $19 cdn or 400 000 dong. unreal. this place makes taiwan look expensive.

after just the right amount of food and drink we found spas and kelly and i got facials and waxes for 10 cdn. and the wax smelt like popcorn. perfect.

we met back up wtih em and al at a previously agreed upon bar with a patio that looked intriguing. it ended up being fantastic. they played great music. 80s and 90s songs that make you instantly happy and you cant help but dance in your seat. or i cant help it at least.

oh, and boys. everywhere.
we're falling in love all over this city.

home by midnight but not before stopping for a veggie n cheese baguette for a dollar. excellent.

07/23/12 day 2 Saigon, Vietnam
spent the day exploring the mekong delta. such a dream.

took a boat to Unicorn Island..i knew such a place existed beyond my dream life.
Our dreamy tour guide Luke told us all that
snake wine is good for...downstairs.
banana wine for aches and paints.
rice wine, for fun.

we tasted all three.

ali, kelly, emily, luke and i floated down the mekong river in a tiny long boat wearing triangle hats. we had to keep our hands inside the boat to save our limbs from crocodiles which run rampant in the waters there. i talk with my hands so this was very difficult for me. despite crocodiles the whole thing felt more like a dream than many of my own nighttime head films as of late.

later, we visited a beehive and drank honey tea, tasted royal jelly, and ate ginger and banana chips.

we visited an outdoor coconut candy making factory and ended with a delicious traditional vietnamese lunch with 888 [pronounced bah bah bah] beer.

travelled home by boat and watched the sunset over the water while children waved to us from their boat homes and finally we fell asleep in the heat and woke up at the dock to a handful of sailors. perfect.

there is no seperation between the fallen and the stars

typhoon long weekend

this weekend i:

celebrated no work on friday by drinking a box of red wine with friends on thursday. and eating impossibly delicious pizza.

friday i slept late and slowly made breakfast. again, it was impossibly delicious.

i cleaned my room and finished unpacking and its so beautiful and so me and all mine and i love it in here. i went to the laundromat and did laundry and wrote report cards and read Vonnegut's slaughterhouse five.

i made curry with kelly and emily and we watched Take This Waltz with michelle williams and seth rogan and it made me feel happy n sad n a million different things at once. we all had a glass of whiskey and talked about the film. emily and i went on a walk. emily and i went to beer bellys and sipped a gin and tonic while an annoying guy continued to talk to us until i told him we were girlfriends and he finally left. we made grilled cheese sandwiches before bed.

saturday i woke up and made vietnamese coffee with sweet condensed milk. oh so good. em and i made an asparagus, swiss cheese, mushroom, tomato, onion omelet. i read. i went for a hair massage and cut. we went for dinner at maynas. it was so so delicious and healthy and delicious. we all talked and had a glass of wine and her friend mona came over and she was lovely and it was a great evening. oh and mayna gave me a pretty green dress and two books.

then we downloaded magic mike and drank vodka sodas while we watched. all smiles. then ali, emily, and i changed and looked so pretty and went out to dreams nightclub. we'd never been there but heard a lot about it. no cover for girls and an open bar. kind of ridiculous. such a good hip hop show and hours of dancing and lots of fun. many hours later we made it home but didnt get to sleep til even later.

slept in way too late today and went to bagel bagel with em and kelly. they have a wicked smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese and capers. em and i went to the market and bought our fruits and veggies for the week from our favorite stand. they gave us free chili peppers. i prefer the ginger but em likes the spice. came home and made a big pasta dish for dinner. pablo came over for a bit. hes wonderful. we watched dangerous minds and i ate an ice cream bar. skyped with christine for three hours and it felt wonderful to catch up.

now laying in bed but not quite sleepy. thinking of making a bucket list. then ill try to sleep n dream about ticking off all the adventures.

good weekend <3

typhoon day

this typhoon tembin (tembin means libra in chinese) is proving to be quite mysterious. and elusive..

woke up late to a windy day but no rain and certainly no typhoon. strange.

me and the girls listened to music and made the best pancakes ever. blueberries, bananas, flax, and chia seeds topped with pumpkin seeds and maple syrup and crunchy peanut butter on the side to dip. so delicious.

i made a pot of jasmine green ginger lemon tea and we feasted and mused.

the rain is still not here yet, perhaps its the calm before the storm? so im going to go get a hair wash and cut.

happy day off

the strangest and funniest pizza man ever. from toronto. living and making pizza in taiwan. telling stories of ship wrecks and inviting us to try out his bong. he talked and talked until ali and i fell asleep at the table with the dogs. like, literally.
some ontario inside joke i wasnt privy too.
